Let's do it...
First the oak-chassis needed a wooden top. I contacted Hans Kortenbach (Musical Affairs) for some advice and he responded enthusiastic and offered to do this for me. Well, since he really is a "wood-wizzard", I happily accepted! A few weeks later the chassis returned with a nice oak cover of about 8mm thick, supported by one layer plywood for strengthening. The lay-out waas quickly determined and holes drilled. After that I stained the toplayer in a darker teint to prevent the transformers from appearing too massive. After that the chassis were completely lacquered using shellac

After this the transformers for the filament supplies were mounted. The tubesockets are mounted on a sub-chassis - no bolts are visual! At the back are the two powerswitches located. The powertransformer has also.the filament windings for the rectifiers and is secondary switched which implies that the supply voltage will have a slow-turn-on character. Recycled solder terminals are used and this way wiring can be kept neat. The metal housing of each transformer is connected to ground and one "main" ground wire is put from the mains along these housings.
