A visit to Musical Affairs and Pel Audio
Now let´s have a look at the preamplifier by Cees. As can be seen the cabinet
has been made by Hans, very classy combination of different kinds of wood. Also very big and heavy. That is because of
Cees´ preference in old Western Electric design: Lots of transformer coupling. So Tamura input and output transformers
are used around 6SN7 valves. Only ear picked components are used, from Tantalum resistors up to Amtrans capacitors, from
Furutech rca inputs upto Seiden switches. Have a look at the photos to get an idea..
